Alisha and Rikki’s Heythrop Park Hindu Wedding Day

Couple Photography at their Heythrop Park Asian Wedding

Heythrop Park is a magical place for an Asian wedding. As well as it’s beautiful grounds and majestic Manor House, it makes for a perfect backdrop to photograph a wedding. Moreover, with space for up to 800 guests, it’s definitely big enough for most Asian weddings too!

Alisha and Rikki are my gorgeous couple who had their Hindu wedding and reception at Heythrop Park Resort. A lovely couple, who I had met through photographing Alisha’s brother’s wedding. Therefore I was familiar with a lot of the family and friends present. It’s always nice to know that you have done such a great job for a family member that they would recommend you so highly! I have chronicled as much as I can about the wedding in this post! Here is a recap of the beautiful day.

The morning preparations at Heythrop Park…

I was able to document Alisha and Rikki as they got ready separately for their wedding. Rikki might have been nervous, but didn’t show it as he joked around with his groomsmen.
As Alisha got ready, I was able to be discreet as I worked my way around her makeup and hair preparation. She had the amazing Ambreen to give her a stunning look.

I managed to get some quick portraits of Alisha in her stunning dusty pink Sabyasachi wedding lehenga. The dress was exquisite and the definition of luxury! Her grandiose jewellery was from Red Dot Jewels and the colours combined perfectly with her dress. After this, we headed to the ceremony room at Heythrop Park to begin photographing the Asian Wedding!

The celebrations begin!

Rikki’s baraat was an atmosphere of party and celebration! He entered on a magnificent white horse to the beat of dhol players and smoke flares. The colour of the smoke mixed in with the guests colourful attire are part of why I love Asian wedding photography so much!

Alisha’s family received him at the entrance to the venue, where they exchanged garlands and banter, plus the odd wrestling match!

Rikki wasn’t getting into the venue easily as the bridesmaids were hard to get past with their negotiations!

The Asian wedding ceremony inside Heythrop Park…

Rikki made his way to the mandap with his parents as the effervescent Kamal Pandey guided him in. RWS London provided the stunning mandap and decor. The real flowers and minimalist design looked perfect.

The stunning bride enters…

In due time, Alisha made her way to the mandap with her brother and cousins. All eyes were fixated on her as it was her first appearance of the day. She looked magnificent as she entered the mandap, and the ceremony began.

It was wonderful to document these once in a lifetime moments as Alisha made her way onto the mandap. It was all smiles as Alisha and Rikki saw each other for the first time (that day!) and they exchanged garlands.

This is just a small section of photos from the ceremony. To clarify, the final delivery of photos for Alisha and Rikki was nearly 2000 images!

As you can see from the smiles, it was a lovely, heartfelt ceremony. Significantly, the guests all joined in with the wonderful emotion of the day. Adding to the warm atmosphere was music by Shiv Gopal, who specialises in Indian wedding ceremony music.

The mangalsutra and sindoor adds the finishing touches to the ceremony.

The couple shoot at Heythrop Park

After the ceremony I slipped Alisha and Rikki away for a quick shoot in the grounds of Heythrop Park. They looked amazing in their wedding outfits. A few months before we had a pre-wedding shoot so they were quite comfortable in front of the camera.

Despite the lack of time, we still managed to get some gorgeous photos of Alisha and Rikki outside the grand entrance of Heythrop Park.

Time was against us so we quickly completed the shoot as it was time for their beautiful civil ceremony.

Afterwards, they walked out to confetti as their family and friends lined up to congratulate them. We were also able to get a quick and creative shot inside Heythrop Park Resort before they went off to prepare for the evening.

The Reception at Heythrop Park

The décor for Alisha and Rikki’s reception was also by RWS London and it looked amazing. Henceforth, the incredible marquee at Heythrop Park turned into a luxury ballroom.

I managed to get a few quick shots of Alisha and Rikki in their glamorous reception outfits before their grand entrance. They danced into the lively atmosphere of their reception and then the evening festivities began.

The magnificent cake at Heythrop Park was by Crème de la Cakes, and Ragasaan handled the catering for day. In a word, everything served tasted amazing!

The speeches were heart-warming and VERY funny!

Rikki and Alisha then had their first dance. In short, it was gorgeous to witness, capture and be a part of.

After that, it was party time with music by Ritzy Music, getting everyone in the mood for a crazy reception!

Some awesome dance moves and amazing music, specifically from Ritzy, kept the party pumping all night!

In particular, I love Hindu weddings. For example, one of the benefits of being an Asian wedding photographer are the various ceremonies we get to photograph. Especially the colours, the culture and the smiles all came together to create a perfect day which I was honoured to be a part of. I wish Alisha and Rikki the best in their future together.

Heythrop Park and Asian Wedding Photography

This was my third Heythrop Park Asian Wedding. Indeed, it’s always a pleasure to photograph there. The stunning interior makes for so many perfect photo opportunities that I love to capture. I had a fantastic time at Alisha and Rikki’s wedding and I was so happy with how the photos turned out. They were also delighted with the images, in fact Alisha’s mother called me many times after the wedding to thank me, what a wonderful lady! I really do love Asian Wedding photography.

In conclusion, if you like what you see, get in touch and let’s have a chat about your wedding!
