We were recommended Ed Pereira Photography via a close friend with impeccable taste so we envisaged that Ed’s work would be of a certain calibre. After a brief online search, the impressive portfolio of photographs spoke for themselves. We were sold!
We chose Southbank as the backdrop for our pre-wedding shoot since it held so much significance to us. Little did we know that Ed would show us Southbank in a whole different light! There were many moments where we would casually be strolling along the river, and Ed’s vision would unfold. It was a series of light-bulb moments that illuminated our day.
There was no set plan of taking shots in specific places or in certain cliché ways. Within moments of meeting us, Ed appreciated our chemistry and our bond and went on to capturing this in the most effortless yet impactful way.
Wherever he felt there was an opportunity to capture a certain moment, Ed would not hesitate. For us, the best part of working with Ed, was that he understood us, he knew what we were about and we did not have to constantly break into an awkward and contrived pose (although everyone likes the odd romantic pose right?).
We left our pre-wedding shoot with a massive sigh of relief knowing that “Eddy got this!” The rest was going to be a breeze and we just knew that Ed would deliver beyond any expectations.
Our wedding-day shoot captured the most memorable shots and each photograph was a snapshot of the emotions that we held for one another – it was magic! His eye for lighting, angles, colours and tones allowed Ed to create the most mind-blowing shots with so much character and subliminal meaning. We could not fault a single shot of Ed’s, so much so that our living room showcases an ‘Ed Pereira Special’ – a regal portrait shot from our special day.
A simple thank you would not suffice the gratitude we have for Ed, but nevertheless thank you for capturing us in a way that is true to us.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to have Ed as our photographer. Ed understood us as a couple from the word go! We didn’t want to be too posey and cheesy, we wanted our pictures to look very natural. He was on time and did not get in the way at all, remembered all family members and took amazing candid pictures. Our wedding pictures came within 2-3 weeks of our wedding, we could not be happier! They looked amazing! He even gave us a few extra shots out of generosity. Honestly, Ed is the best you will find.

Ed is an extremely talented photographer and was very imaginative in how he used the surroundings of our venue and even my wife’s veil to take creative shots. He has a real knack for capturing special moments and expressions and does this while blending into the background and not getting in the way of proceedings. He was very sensitive to what we wanted and we couldn’t have asked for better wedding photos or album. Lovely guy and great to work with.

When my Wife and I decided to have our big Indian wedding in Portugal we knew one of our biggest challenges was going to be capturing and documenting the journey to ensure our memories were saved forever. We knew we wanted someone who was friendly, approachable and well versed with the Hindu ceremony. But besides that, we wanted someone that could blend into the background, think on their feet in a new environment, be respectful to the guests and most importantly someone we could have some banter and a laugh with to take the edge off posing for awkward photo shoots!
I had been given a very strong recommendation of Ed Pereira by a good friend that also was a keen photographer. When we had our initial consultation, it was easy to see why he had been recommended. Ed is a lovely guy that has a natural ability to connect with anyone he meets and to make them feel comfortable whilst he works. The quality of the photos and trailer he produced for us far surpassed my expectations and many of our guests have spoken highly of his style of work. I consider Ed a friend for life primarily down to the great job him and his team did and the love, attention and care he put to delivering it.

I first came across Ed’s photography during my Brother’s wedding. The pictures that were taken blew me away and I just knew I wanted him to capture my wedding day.
I booked Ed as soon as I confirmed a wedding date. He was professional and responded quickly to all of my questions via email, making the booking effortless.
On the day of the wedding and reception, Ed was very patient and was almost invisible whilst taking pictures. The photos that I received from Ed made me cry when I first went through them and sometimes still do. The pictures captured the atmosphere and the memorable points of the wedding and reception. Ed definitely takes the best natural pictures which I love and also adds a great creative twist on the posed pictures. My Husband and I were a little anxious about posing for pictures but Ed made us feel very comfortable and we had a laugh whilst doing it.
