It was a dream to photograph a wedding at the stunning Castell de Caramany in Girona, Spain. The 15th Century castle offered a beautiful backdrop for the civil wedding of Zarna and Arun. Indeed the Spanish gardens were perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Besides, it was August in Spain so the weather was great! Basically clear blue skies and sunshine! Despite the heat, everyone had a great time in the idyllic setting.

Earlier in the day, Zarna had her makeup done by the talented Barcelona Mua. As can be seen, she looking simply stunning! Also the whole day was organised by the lovely Becky of Barcelona Brides, whom I’ve worked with at a few weddings in Spain. Given that the couple were from the UK, Becky does an amazing job at organising a wedding abroad. I’d highly recommend her!

In general, Zarna was such a relaxed bride! Especially in the morning during the bridal preparations. At any rate, she had her sisters by her side bringing the fun!

Later in the day, Zarna made a lovely entrance by horse and carriage.

I loved how natural the couple were in front of the camera. In fact they hardly needed any direction! They were clearly madly in love and that showed through in the photos.

The gardens at Castell de Caramany offered so many lovely areas for wedding photos for the couple.

Not surprisingly I’d love to shoot another wedding at Castell de Caramany.
