A guest article by Meera from Carriages Weddings & Events

It’s my pleasure to have Meera Majithia, the founder of wedding planning service Carriages Weddings & Events, write this guest article – ‘5 Real Brides Who Looked Stunning in Pink’.

It’s a great time to be getting married. More Indian brides than ever are breaking traditions and going against the norm, opting for a day that reflects their personality and preferences.

Whether you choose to get married in a barn, opt for food trucks instead of a sit down meal or hire a folk band for your live entertainment, the great thing is anything goes. As a planner this makes my job all the more exciting let me tell you. I get to witness and be part of so many incredible, completely unique Indian wedding events.

One of the biggest trends I’ve seen in recent times is brides moving away from wearing the traditional shade of red. Don’t get me wrong, I love the colour red on brides. At the same time I love seeing brides making a bold statement and opting for something different.

So, in collaboration with the talented photographer Ed Pereira, here’s presenting five Indian brides who broke those norms and looked stunning in pink.
